Enjoy a free lunch, while joining representatives of various occupations in the plant sciences where we discuss your questions on career options, the problems associated with making the "right choice" , and ways to simplify the decision-making process. In response to student requests, we will have a panel of botanists representing (1) botanic garden/museum research positions; (2) applied botany positions; and (3) academic positions. Join host, Dr. Sherwin Carlquist, Dr. Carolyn Ferguson, Dr. David Spooner and Dr. Warren Wagner as they share their experiences in response to your questions. Questions may involve identifying your own career goals, changing careers, changing employers, choosing employers and places, or other matters. E-mail your questions to wdahl@botany.org.
